No. Evibe is a tracker, not a brokerage. You can't place orders from the app — it's designed to give you a clear, real-time view of what you already own across every account.

Is Evibe free?

Yes. Evibe is free to use, with no card and no time limit: one portfolio of up to 50 holdings, a watchlist, real-time prices, the AI statement import, the S&P 500 benchmark, two alerts, one screener, a year of history and symbol widgets. Premium adds the rest — unlimited portfolios and watchlists, broker sync, AI portfolio and stock analysis, daily AI opportunities, the MCP connection for AI assistants, full history, advanced analytics, tax lots, portfolio widgets, the Apple Watch app and Live Activities. Every new account starts with 7 days of Premium, no card required.

Which asset classes can I track?

Seventeen, in two tiers. Four are tracked with live market data — stocks, ETFs, crypto and options — values update automatically as quotes move. The other thirteen are *custom assets* you maintain yourself: bonds, forex, commodities, funds, real estate, art, vehicles, startups, loans, jewelry, collectibles, cash and other. For these you enter the value and update it at your own pace; the app handles currency conversion, optional recurring income (rent, interest, etc.) and includes them in your allocation pies and net-worth chart. We don't appraise property, art or anything else — that's not our job; the net-worth picture is.

Does Evibe connect to my broker automatically?

Yes. Connect your bank or brokerage — 1,000+ banks and brokers across the US, Canada, Europe and crypto exchanges, from Fidelity, Schwab and Robinhood to Interactive Brokers, Trading 212, DEGIRO and Coinbase — and Evibe imports your holdings and transactions automatically, then keeps them updated. It is strictly read-only: you sign in on your institution's own page, Evibe never sees your credentials, and it can never place orders or move money. Broker sync is a Premium feature, included in the 7 days of Premium every new account gets. No connection for your institution, or prefer to stay hands-on? Drop in a statement — the AI importer reads CSV, Excel and PDF statements, matches every symbol and shows you a preview before anything is saved. That one is free on every plan.

What does the AI actually do?

Three things. It analyzes your portfolio — a 0–100 health score across diversification, risk, performance and concentration, with plain-language insights. It explains any single stock — earnings trajectory, valuation vs sector, quality and risks, built on grades computed from hard data, so the AI can't invent figures. And once a day it surfaces a few investment ideas to research, each grounded in cited sources, stress-tested by an adversarial reviewer, and published with its bear case and a calibrated confidence. None of this is investment advice — Evibe never tells you to buy or sell.

Is any of this investment advice?

No — and we're deliberate about it. Evibe is a tracker, not a broker and not a financial advisor. Everything the AI produces — your portfolio health score, the per-stock deep dives and the daily opportunities — plus anything an AI assistant reads through MCP, is educational analysis of your own data: never a recommendation to buy, sell or hold, never a price target, never a solicitation. The portfolio and stock analyses are built on grades computed from real data (the AI explains them, it can't invent figures), every opportunity ships with its bear case and is stress-tested by an adversarial reviewer, and each one is flagged as an idea to research rather than a pick to act on. The decisions stay yours — do your own research, and consider a licensed advisor for anything that needs one.

Can I connect my portfolio to ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini?

Yes. Evibe can generate your own private MCP (Model Context Protocol) endpoint, so an AI assistant — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any MCP-capable client — can read your real holdings and answer questions about them in plain language, like “how exposed am I to tech?” or “what's my dividend income this year?”. It's read-only and entirely under your control: you create the connection and can revoke it whenever you want. Assistants only read your portfolio context — they can never place orders or move money — and their answers are informational, not investment advice.

Is there a web or Android version?

It's live and open to use today. Android isn't on the roadmap. Beyond the web, Evibe is Apple-native by design — iOS, iPadOS and macOS with deep system integration (widgets, menu-bar tickers, Watch complications). No Catalyst. We'd rather do one ecosystem exceptionally well.

How does real-time work?

Where are my data stored?

In our cloud database hosted by OVH in Canada, fully anonymized and encrypted. Your email is handled exclusively by Firebase Authentication — we never see it on our side. Portfolio holdings, transactions and balances are never linked back to your identity in human-readable form.

Does Evibe sync across my devices?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your portfolios, watchlists and alerts live on Evibe's servers, so iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and the web app all show the same data — and a change on one device shows up on the others as it happens. One account, one subscription, every device.

What are macOS Bars?

A Mac-exclusive feature: thin, always-on-top floating bars that show live quotes for your symbols, options, currencies or whole portfolios. Configurable per-bar — position, colors, indicators — so you can keep an eye on the markets without leaving your work.

Can I follow my watchlist from the lock screen and Dynamic Island?

Yes, on iPhone. Start a Live Activity on any watchlist and its symbols stay pinned to your lock screen and Dynamic Island — price, change and market state, including pre-market and after-hours, with a sparkline on the rich layout for one or two symbols. Updates are pushed server-side in near real time (throttled to respect iOS's budgets), and an optional “active screen” mode wakes the display at a safe cadence. It follows the symbols on a watchlist rather than your whole portfolio, and it's iOS and iPadOS only.

How often do widgets refresh?

iOS and macOS control how often widgets refresh, not us — the system decides based on battery, your usage patterns, signal and a few other factors. We can request a refresh, but the OS has the final word. A few things that help keep widgets up to date: open the Evibe app at least once a day (the OS allocates more refresh budget to apps you actively use); place widgets on screens you visit often (lock screen, primary home page); avoid Low Power Mode (iOS aggressively throttles widget refreshes in that mode). On Mac, macOS Bars don't have this limitation — they update in real time whenever a price ticks. The Apple Watch complication also updates close to real time, within the bounds watchOS allows. And when you want a constant view on iPhone, start a Live Activity — it pins a watchlist to your lock screen and Dynamic Island, with prices pushed in near real time.

Does it really handle multiple currencies properly?

Yes. Each portfolio has its own reference currency, and historical FX rates are applied to your cost basis on the date of every transaction. We track 70+ currency pairs continuously.

Question 16

What happens when my 7 days of Premium end?

Accepted Answer

Your account simply moves to the Free plan — nothing is deleted. Anything above the Free limits (extra portfolios, watchlists or alerts) stays safe and listed, just locked until you upgrade. Subscribe to Premium from inside the app, monthly or annually, and it all unlocks again instantly.

Why no lifetime subscription?

Real-time tracking relies on live market data — quotes, exchange feeds, dividend calendars, fundamentals — which we license from third-party data providers (Financial Modeling Prep, Intrinio and a few others). Those licenses are billed to us monthly, per active user. A lifetime payment would mean accepting decades of per-user data costs in exchange for one upfront payment — the math doesn't work, and most apps in this category that promised lifetime ended up dropping data quality, switching to a worse provider, or quietly shutting down. We'd rather charge a fair monthly fee, keep the data licensed properly, and still be here in ten years.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple, so we can't cancel them on our side. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, then tap Evibe → Cancel Subscription. On Mac, it's System Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Manage → Evibe. You can also go straight to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions from any Apple device. Your access stays active until the end of the current billing period.
